Beverly Louise Williams Stanford, 94, passed away on June 5, 2017 in Lodi, California. She was born on December 19, 1922 in Everett, Washington to James Harvey and Emma Grey. She moved to Lodi around 1945.
Beverly was a charter member of the Haven of Peace, a non-profit shelter for women and their dependent children, and continued to serve as an Auxiliary Board member, regularly attending monthly meetings. She also helped run the Ogden Rescue Mission for 15 years in various capacities before her retirement. Beverly enjoyed growing flowers, quilting, crocheting, reading, and traveling.
Beverly is survived by her son, Jim Williams (Julia) of Galt, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanford in 2005, mother Emma Grey, brother Jim Harvey , and son Robert Williams.
Beverly is survived by her grandchildren: Jimmy Williams (Jenny), Joey Williams (Aly), April Lundeen (Ben), Jennifer Kistler (George), and survived by her 7 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Landon, Tessa, Beau, Wren, Elijah, and Cora.
An open visitation will be held at Donahue Funeral Home in Lodi, this Friday 12-4pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11am , also at Donahue. Beverly will be buried alongside her husband, Jim Stanford, at the National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
